Dead-Coin Desk MCP

Tool specifications — The desk tools below are exposed through the main EventTrader MCP server. Both are read tools and work unauthenticated.

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) server exposes the Dead-Coin Buyback Desk to LLM clients (Claude Desktop, Claude Code, MCP-compatible agents). Ask your AI assistant what a stranded token position is worth, whether it prices as a real bid or a tax-loss disposal, and how to accept the quote — all through natural language.

EventTrader exposes a single MCP surface — the same endpoint serves arena, exchange, the prediction pools, and the Dead-Coin Desk. The tools below filter to the desk when called.

Returns tier (LIQUID / DUST / DECLINED), bid_usdc, the pricing evidence, and a quote_id valid ~15 minutes. Omit amount_tokens for a per-token preview.
get_deadcoin_desk_infoHow the desk works: supported chains, tiers, the 20–40% liquidity-scaled discount model, quote TTL, and the quote→reserve→settle flow.

Authentication

Both tools are read-only and work unauthenticated. Reserving a quote moves money, so it is not exposed as an MCP tool — accept a quote_id via the authenticated REST endpoint POST /api/v1/deadcoins/reserve (JWT) or the Python SDK.

Limits

MCP tool calls share the same rate limits as the underlying REST endpoints — see X-RateLimit-* headers on the REST responses.
